Moon River

Artist: Andy Williams

Album: Sony Music 100 Years

Song Length: 2:47

George's Thoughts: This incredibly beautiful Henry Mancini composition from the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is one of my favorite Waltz tunes. Absolutely delightful. This has been done by many different artists, but most versions are too fast, even 1 or 2 beats faster than this version. Of the strict-tempo versions available, my favorite is the one by Johnny Mathis on "Best of Ballroom Music Part 4." An excellent strict-tempo version by Danny Williams is available on "The Ultimate Ballroom Album 5."

Song Lyrics:

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style, some day,
Oh dream maker, you heart breaker,
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way,
Two drifters, off to see the world,
There's such a lot of world to see,
We're after the same rainbows end,
Waitin' 'round the bend,
My Huckleberry friend,
Moon River, and me!

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style, some day...

Two drifters, off to see the world,
There's such a lot of world to see,
We're after the same rainbows end,
Waitin' 'round the bend,
My Huckleberry friend,
Moon River, and me!

Moon River, and me...
